About Us

Heliotrope Books LLC is an independent book publisher and packager located in New York City and in Paris.

Initiated in 2006 by Michael Fancello and Naomi Rosenblatt, Heliotrope’s mission is to find the right structure and home for manuscripts we believe in.

The principals of Heliotrope Books have been associated with publishers like Random House, Scholastic, Four Walls Eight Windows, and Writers and Readers, Inc., as well as numerous smaller presses throughout the United States. Heliotrope Books has also worked with New York University’s Center for Publishing and The Summer Publishing Institute.

Years before they met, the principals of Heliotrope Books each had published books about the rainforests. We have therefore committed 1% of annual profit to rainforest protection.
